Have a #MerrySMChristmas, Fellas!

Christmas for most Filipino is the best time of the year not only because of bonus or gifts but also because of sharing and creating good memories with your loved ones and friends. I believe what's the best way to feel and enjoy this season is to start spreading love with one another.

So, What does #MerrySMChristmas mean to you? Here are my perspectives:

#MerrySMChristmas is sharing, I believed what's written in the bible, ”God loves a cheerful giver". We are blessed to bless others, primarily underprivileged people. Since its Christmas it's my turn to be a Santa and put a smile on their faces. With the help of my officemate/friend and SFC friends we took part in a Christmas Party for a community in Panatag, Mandaluyong. We shopped at SM Super Market for Noche Buena's that will be given to the families, candies and prizes for the kids. It's good that SM has Yellow Tag which will give you a chance to win prizes. During the party, we played games with them and they also did presentation. It's a celebration that when you remembered, will definitely put a smile on your face. Actually, it's a win-win situation, you both feel "high" in a good way. That feeling when you saw the happiness you've given to them, was overwhelming, it's like we already put treasures on heaven.

#MerrySMChristmas is volunteering, every time there's an event and I'm available, I'm always on the go. Our company organized an event for kids of Nangka Elementary School in Marikina. As part of the event, we went to SM Super Market in Megamall, we bought a lot of goodies and I used my SM Advantage card to save points (talking about taking advantage!) Throughout the event all I see was purely adorable, innocence and vitality of children. We became ate and kuya to them, we did game and production number for them. The most exciting part was the distribution of the gifts for the kids! They were so delighted and I’m fulfilled too that I spent my time with these little angels.

#MerrySMChristmas is spending time with your loved ones. You've been busy, managing your own lives and work to do; it's really a joy to me to hang around with my friends. Since we like eating and trying new things, we went to SM MOA. We did Ice Skating, it was my first try and I felt a child in me was so ecstatic! Even though it’s jam-packed, we we’re still able to skate around the rink. We dine at SM food court because of variety of cuisine you can choose from at a very affordable price while catching up and reminiscing the old days. Family reunion is also on my list this Christmas. My go to place for shopping gifts for my relatives is SM Department Store; everything is here from kids to young at heart fashion. Most essential part of Christmas is spending it with family. During “Ber” months, my sibling and I brainstormed what are the meals and desserts we’re going to cook on Christmas Eve, that kind of communication is what I’ve been looking forward always. We also started to spree at SM Department Store to adorn the house; I want to buy everything in there! The flowers, ribbons, balls, and trees were all beautiful! Then we went to SM Super Market to buy the ingredients for our Noche Buena. You can choose from local to international products which will give you the options, how excellent is that!? And who who’d forget the Misa de Gallo? Going to church with my family while worshiping and giving thanks to Almighty God and Lord Jesus is certainly miraculous.

For me, #MerrySMChristmas is not about material things, it's about loving one another, creating happy memories and  leaving an impact to other people lives, making yours and their Christmas an unforgettable one.
We should remember that Lord Jesus birth is the beginning of Christmas and because of so much love to us, he sacrificed his life for us.
